Hungarians Earn Double in Austria - How Much?
The gross median wage of Hungarians working in Austria is Ft 761,000, nearly double that of those working in Hungary for a gross median wage of Ft 389,000, G7 reports.

The average gross wage of Hungarians working in Austria throughout the entire year, not just seasonally, amounts to Ft 1,142,000 below the average Austrian wage, which is equivalent to Ft 1,561,000.

Some 118,000 Hungarians were working in Austria in April, 4.4% more than one year earlier.

Hungarians are the second-largest foreign worker group in Austria after Germans.

The majority of them commute from Hungary to blue-collar jobs in Austria.
