Mellow Mood Hotels has grown from a joint venture of two friends. Our group of companies was founded in 1997 by Sameer Hamdan and Zuhair Awad for the purpose of operating hostels to serve young foreign tourists visiting Budapest. Over the years, their portfolio has been expanded to the operation of a higher and higher level of hotels.

Diana Smith Walsh was born in Jamaica West Indies and studied in the United States of America. She received her master degree from the University of Rochester, Simon School of Business. Prior to her current role as an expat wife, she was a banker, a not-for-profit president, and an adjunct professor in economics.
