The St. Martin’s Day Wine Festival was organised for the first time in 2011 by Danubius Hotel Gellért. They wanted to show that the Gellért is also an excellent place for the relaxed atmosphere of a festival, precisely because of its unique character and the contrast. On September 28th there were two opening events in one. The new Bortarsasag wine store opened up late to host the release of the 4th edition of the Visible Cities Budapest book written by Annabell Barber, Emma Roper- Evans and David Hill.

The latest Xpat Wine Club event took place at the Bortár in the stunning neighborhood of St. Stephen's Basilica. The evening’s hostess, Dr. Varga Katalin, Managing Director of Settlers Hungary, is co-owner of the shop and dabbles in wine only as a 'hobby'.
