The Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) and public transport company BKV have deployed defibrillators at all stations of the city’s ‘red’ and ‘blue’ metro lines. The two companies and Budapest city council said in a joint statement on Tuesday that the life-saving equipment may be used only by 270 BKK and BKV employees, as well as doctors or nurses trained in their use.

In 2013 the Annual Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, 10 November. The traditional service and wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the Commonwealth War Cemetery of Solymár at 10:55. Everybody is welcome to attend the ecumenical service. Those who do are kindly requested to arrive at the cemetery no later than 10:45 please. The service lasts approximately 20 minutes.
