The Budapest assembly has unanimously voted to approve accessibility for the disabled at several metro 3 stations. The decision to go ahead with installing the lifts coincides with the refurbishment of the metro line.

As well as lots of porky specials available along several 'Sausage Streets', there will be family programs, folklore shows, 'nostalgic music programs' and dance, plus apparently presentations of enormous sausages, during this three day special Hungarian gastro event.

It’s been 150 years since Hungary’s very first zoo, the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden in the heart of the capital opened its gates to the public on August 9, 1866, writes hvg.hu. Budapest mayor István Tarlós has announced plans to renovate the city’s iconic Chain Bridge and remodel Blaha Lujza Square in central Budapest. Speaking at an AmCham event, Tarlós said the Buda Castle tunnel was also a contender for renovation and plans are to revamp the Cog-Wheel railway, extending it to Széll Kálmán Square in one direction and all the way to Normafa Hill in the other.
