The tax authority NAV has uncovered an illegal network throughout Hungary, in which hundreds of companies employed more than 10,000 people without paying social insurance contributions on their wages. “One of the biggest operations in the history of Hungarian crime has been shut down”, the NAV declared on Wednesday.

From December, low cost airline Wizz Air will fly to Tel Aviv and Kiev three times a week, having received permission for the flights for an unspecified period from the authorities. The new routes expect to have 2 million passengers annually, CEO József Váradi said on Monday. Further rights for flights to Moscow and Istanbul are expected within two months, he added.

The Chain Bridge will be closed on Tuesday night only and the Szabadság bridge on Wednesday night only at the same times, for the same purpose. The bridges and tunnel will be open as usual during the day."
