While one can certainly argue that ridiculous (and superfluous) things are financed by states around the world, it is worth pointing out here that 444‘s list looks especially outrageous when one considers the dismal state of education and health-care.

The Hungarian Swimming Federation’s annual general meeting gave a vote of confidence in president Tamás Gyárfás with 118 affirmative votes, against only one dissension and one abstention on Sunday. Gyárfás said in a speech to the gathering that no matter how unfair he considers the attacks of recent weeks, he feels that he must tolerate the slaps and cannot hide as his responsibility is so large.
