Upon the initiative of President János Áder the General Assembly of Budapest has unanimously supported that the City of Budapest joins the global campaign against climate change of former US Vice President Al Gore. We share a common responsibility in speaking about the issue of climate change and acting against it, said President János Áder at the meeting of the Budapest General Assembly.

One Of The Biggest Hybrid Bus Fleets In Europe Started To Operate In Budapest

Since 1 March 2015 twenty-eight brand new, diesel-powered hybrid buses are in operation in Budapest, and with that it is one of the largest diesel-electric bus fleets of Europe. In the framework of the vehicle stock development project launched as part of the programme of Mayor István Tarlós, hybrid buses are oprated along lines 5, 7, and 9 during all the week round since 1st March.
