Next year, weekly cultural events will be held at important traffic hubs nationwide, including intersections, railway stations and the Liszt Ferenc International Airport, Balazs Hanko, the culture and innovation minister, told a press conference at Keleti railway station on Sunday.

The fifth Liszt Fest International Cultural Festival will once again take centre stage in Budapest this autumn, bringing together leading figures from classical and contemporary music while also embracing cross-genre collaborations and a wide spectrum of the arts. Organised by Müpa Budapest, the festival runs from 9 – 22 October.

The Cered Art Colony, which is 30 years old this year, will celebrate with what they call an ArtPiknik on August 9th. In addition to fine art, visitors will also be treated to local gastro delights, family programs, music concerts and theater productions, Csaba Fürjesi, one of the founders of the art colony, told MTI.

The Broadway Stars Company will give a charity concert together with the Budapest Police Headquarters Choir and the Emergency Police Band on Saturday, February 28th at the Erzsébetliget Theatre. The proceeds from the evening will support the Leukemia Children Foundation.
