Béla Bartók and Polish culture will be central elements of the Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival held between Oct. 7 and 23, the head of the organising committee said. The festival, the largest of its kind in central and eastern Europe, will also feature events commemorating the 60th anniversary of Hungary’s 1956 anti-Soviet revolution, Csaba Káel said.

Humanity’s fate will depend on how it responds to the challenges of climate change and the impending water crisis, which threatens more and more countries, János Áder said at the High-Level Panel on Water.
