Sziget Eye Opens In Central Budapest

A giant ferris wheel, the Sziget Eye, has been set up on Budapest’s central Erzsébet Square to promote this year’s summer Sziget festival, the festival’s main organiser, Károly Gerendai, said on Monday. The 65-metre tall structure is open to punters with 41 cabins seating eight each and VIP cabins seating four, Gerendai told a press conference.

Workers have already started the wheel construction last weekend. It features 42 closed air-conditioned cabins that can each hold up to 8 people. The 197foot ferris-wheel (60 meters high) it's been ready since 7th of June on Erzsebet Square and will stay there until the 21st of July. After that, it will be moved to the Sziget Festival.
