Bird Flu Detected In SE Hungary

The National Food Safety Office (Nébih) detected a bird flu outbreak at a turkey farm in Békés County in southeast Hungary, the farm ministry said. All 9,000 turkeys at the farm are to be culled in an effort to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.

She combines theatre studies (Vienna University), dance art and choreography in her work in theory and practice. After graduating as dance artist from the Hungarian State Opera she started to dedicate her talent for dance and interpretation to Odissi.

Hungarian rate setters kept the base rate unchanged at 0.90% at a policy meeting on Tuesday. The decision was in line with the expectations of analysts. The Council also left the interest rate corridor, a band around the base rate that prevents extreme fluctuations of interbank rates, unchanged at the meeting on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service Thursday evening issued a special weather alert from Thursday until midnight on Sunday as temperatures exceeding 26C degrees on Friday and 27C over the weekend are expected in most of the country. Residents are asked to drink plenty of fluids in the coming days and, if possible, to avoid the blazing sun between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
