The celebrations will begin on August 19 when the 'Street of Hungarian Flavours' will open at noon between the Buda side of the Erzsébet híd and Bem tér. Awards will be presented for Hungary’s best cake, sugar-free cake and ice cream. Pop music will play on Clark Ádám tér and on Bem tér from 8pm. "The cabinet has submitted to Parliament a bill that will give women preferential retirement terms, government spokesman Anna Nagy announced on Monday. Women will be entitled to a complete pension, after forty years of service, including up to eight years raising children, as of January 1, she added."
