Stadler Completes Delivery Of Trains To Hungary

Swiss firm Stadler has supplied the last two commuter trains to state railway company MÁV and Austrian-Hungarian railways Gysev Cargo, reports Világgazdaság. MÁV signed a contract with Stadler in March, 2013 for the purchase of 42 Flirt commuter trains for €267 million, mostly funded by the EU. Stadler will supply six trains to Gysev in a related deal.

The European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) has launched an investigation against radical nationalist Jobbik MEP Béla Kovács and former MEP Csanád Szegedi on suspicion of abuse of funds and fraud, the news portal Origo reported. OLAF suspects that the MEPs abused funds available for employing interns and assistants. They had access to a monthly 21,000 euros for that purpose, Origo said.
