V4 Symposium on Cultural Impact of AI, MOME in Budapest, 12 September
The Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design is holding an international scientific symposium on the impact of artificial intelligence and the Visegrad countries on September 12, with funding from the International Visegrad Fund, organisers said.

Eight speakers and researchers, philosophers and university experts in visual culture from Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia will discuss the cultural impact of AI, with an emphasis on regional specialties, the statement said.

Topics will include to the distortions of AI-generated images to the cultural heritage, misrepresentations of small local communities in AI content and the homogeneous representations of women, as well as the use of AI in arts, it said.

The event is part of a research and development project of MOME's Heritage in Motion Lab, inspecting the under-representation of the Czech, Hungarian, Polish and Slovak languages in generative AI systems.
