The Oct. 2 referendum on the EU’s migrant quota measures will be “historic”, government office chief János Lázár said. President János Áder met International Olympic Committee (IOC) head Thomas Bach for talks in Rio de Janeiro late on Monday, which also covered Budapest’s bid to host the 2024 Olympics. The Hungarian Olympic Committee said on its website mob. hu that Áder discussed the Hungarian bid with several IOC members during Rio 2016.
