The US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has nominated Hungarian director László Nemes Jeles’s film Son of Saul for an Academy Award in the best foreignlanguage film category. Hungarian director László Nemes accepted the Best Foreign Language Film prize for his movie Son of Saul at the Golden Globe awards ceremony on Sunday night in Los Angeles. The concentration camp drama is the first Hungarian production to win the award. The Golden Globes, selected by the Los Angeles Film Critics Circle, are considered second in importance only to the Oscars.
