Going into the Corinthia Hotel is like going into another world and the VinCE wine exhibition just embellished that. It had many, many wonderful wines from all over the world to suit everyone’s taste. It also was a great reason, as I found, for many to take the afternoon off work on Friday and saunter around this maze of wine producers.

Thanks to Filmteam and Palace Mammut, the privilege of watching the cutest Hungarian movie of the year is now not solely that of the Hungarian speakers: English speakers can enjoy Liza, the Fox-Fairy at a number of limited screenings, too.

The most successful Dutch jazz singer of all time and one of the most energic rock bands from the UK will perform live at this year's Campus Festival, starting on 22 July 2015. These acts add a strong international character to the biggest summer open-air event of Eastern Hungary, held in Debrecen, the second city of the country. President János Áder opened the 19th Csángó Ball in Budapest on Saturday. In his opening address, the President said that national cohesion or national culture "cannot be outdated". "Being Hungarian is thinking in Hungarian, praying in Hungarian, being in love in Hungarian and caressing our children with Hungarian words," Mr. Áder said.

Hungary’s public media will launch two new channels next year, one targeting viewers aged between 16 and 35, and the other broadcasting sport events, the Hungarian Television (MTV) and the Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund (MTVA) said on Thursday.
