Every Christmas I was eagerly waiting for the chance to attack the nicely wrapped presents under the tree. The moments on Christmas Eve when we entered the until then closed room and started singing Christmas carols before opening them seemed ages.

Mr Griffin’s appointment as Ambassador to Hungary was announced by the Foreign Minister the Hon Kevin Rudd MP, on 12 May 2011. Mr Griffin presented his Credentials to HE Mr Pál Schmidt on 18 August 2011. Since 19 January 2012, Mr Griffin has been Ambassador (non-resident) to Romania.

This week a small group of guys – a couple of expats (our Hungarian wives said we could go) and a local bloke – checked-out the Hooters restaurant at Liszt Ferenc tér. We weren't quite sure what to expect, as it turned out we had a very decent time.
