All valid Hungarian passports are now biometric, the Central Office for Administrative and Electronic Public Services (KEKKH) said. The issuance of biometric passports started 10 years ago, on August 29, 2006, the office said. These passports include a chip with the holder’s photograph on it, which is biometric information, and other data which is also shown printed in the document.
