The Hungarian Scientists Club was formally opened at the Hungarian embassy in London on Friday. Undersecretary Péter Prõhle and ambassador Péter Szabadhegy delivered opening speeches. A Hungarian and Turkish team of brain scientists have launched a joint research programme focusing on Alzheimer’s disease, a neurobiologist at the co-partnering Pécs University’s research centre said. This is the first time that Hungarian- Turkish brain research is being carried out in cooperation with a research centre at Istambul Kültür University, István Hernádi told a press conference in Pécs.
