The Hungarian government wants Hungary to be among the countries “least infected” by corruption, Sándor Pintér, the interior minister, told a conference. Corruption must be tackled by working together “in education, legal background work and also at an ethical level,” Pintér said, adding that this must happen within society and organisations such as police and prosecutors.

In 2014 the Annual Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, 9 November. The traditional service and wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the Commonwealth War Cemetery of Solymár at 10:55. Everybody is welcome to attend the ecumenical service. Those who do are kindly requested to arrive at the cemetery no later than 10:45 please. The service lasts approximately 20 minutes.
