In the late 1930s, Europe teetered on the verge of what would soon become The 1939-1945 War, or to Americans, the Second World War. Out in Hungary, one newspaper editor was frustrated. He wasted far too much time filling up fountain pens and cleaning up smudged pages. He was annoyed that the sharp tip of his fountain pen often tore the paper.

"The significance of the 80.000-piece graphic collection of the Hungarian National Gallery is a little-known fact, since the paper-based objects are very sensitive and cannot be part of the permanent exhibition. That is why the paintings and sculptures of the 20th century permanent exhibition are complemented with our graphic cabinets of a changing thematic concept twice a year.

Péter János Zwack, born in Budapest on 21 May 1927, passed away on 5 August 2012 in Italy. According to Italian papers, he was at Venturina thermal bath near Livorno where he suddenly felt ill, collapsed, and despite all efforts they could not save his life. "Some 140 types of apprenticeships will be partially supervised by the Hungarian chamber of commerce and industry (MKIK), as set out in the government’s second action plan. The reforms will start from the beginning of the next academic year in September 2011 and will affect 80% of apprentice students, for whom the MKIK will draw up a curriculum.

"In January, the Dutch Embassy became the first embassy in Hungary to go Fair Trade. The embassy just placed their first order of Treehugger Dan's Fair Trade Kafequo coffee (55% arabica/45% robusta). The beans come from Peru and Tanzania, and are mixed and roasted by Caffe Agust in Italy. This move was quickly followed by the Gambian Embassy.
