Hungarian Chamber Of Commerce To Reduce School Leaving Age
- 25 Oct 2010 1:00 AM
"Some 140 types of apprenticeships will be partially supervised by the Hungarian chamber of commerce and industry (MKIK), as set out in the government’s second action plan. The reforms will start from the beginning of the next academic year in September 2011 and will affect 80% of apprentice students, for whom the MKIK will draw up a curriculum.
As the present minimum school leaving age of 18 is too high for apprentice students, it would be better to lower it to 17, said MKIK deputy chairman Tamás Bihall, who oversees education."
