The exhibited photos were selected from the collection of the Hungarian Museum of Photography of Kecskemet. With this initiative, we intended to showcase items from Hungarian photographic collections that, unfortunately, rarely reach the public.

Civil associations also raised their voice in support of Chief Rabbi József Scweitzer. Chief Rabbi Emeritus József Schweitzer was accosted by a man who swore at him and shouted, „I hate all Jews.” The incident took place in Budapest June 5, 2012.

Lawyer Pours Paint On Horthy Statue In Hungary

Lawyer Peter Daniel poured red paint on a wooden statue of inter-war regent Miklos Horthy in Kereki, Somogy county last Tuesday night. Daniel then hung a board with the caption “mass murderer, war criminal” in Hungarian around the statue’s neck. The statue, unveiled on Sunday has now been removed from its plinth and taken away.
