Incumbent István Tarlós leads all other Budapest mayoral candidates with 37% support, according to a Medián poll. The survey, conducted last week, found Modern Hungary Movement candidate Lajos Bokros with less than half the support of former left-wing candidate Ferenc Falus, at 5%, versus Falus’s 12%.

Four service providers will pay Ft 130.6 billion in total for mobile broadband frequencies, the media and telecoms authority NMHH announced on Monday in revealing the results of its latest auction. The outcome is notable for the entry of a new market participant, Romania’s Digi, which won a narrow band at 1,800MHz with a bid of Ft 10 billion.
