The Hungarian foreign ministry has issued a statement condemning the murder of a Croatian hostage by terrorists affiliated with Islamic State (IS). The terrorist group’s Egyptian affiliate, Sinai Province, on Wednesday released a photo purporting to show the severed head of Tomislav Salopek, a Croatian national held captive since July 22. The ministry expressed its condolences to Salopek’s family.

The Hungarian pavilion at the Milan World Expo attracted nearly a million visitors in its first three months, the government commissioner in charge of the pavilion said. “By half time”, the expo was visited by more than 10 million people and one-tenth of them also saw the Hungarian pavilion, Géza Szőcs said.
