As you may know this is Hungary's oldest running festival, which takes place every summer at one of the country's most impressive and beautiful regions, the Balaton Upland. The festival is a multi-arts event, which builds a bridge between tradition and tradition-creation, classical and popular music, cultural and family programs.

Vajdahunyad Castle Summer Festival in Budapest is a festival of classical music, swing, klezmer and traditional Hungarian gypsy music. The beautiful courtyard of the Castle provides a romantic background for this event held every year. Performances are scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays and start at 8:30 pm.

Balaton Sound Festival Hungary Organisers Expect 150,000 Participants

Organisers of this year’s Balaton Sound, starting on Wednesday evening, expect some 150,000 people to attend the music festival. At a press conference ahead of the festival opening, organisers said that all passes were sold out weeks ago and the number of foreign visitors has doubled since last year.

Between June 13-15 around 200 types of 'liquid bread' will be available for tasting in Budapest's Castle District. Along with the biggest Hungarian beer makers and local craft breweries, this year ciders-makers also will play a role in the 'Cider Grove'. Plus the world’s beer super powers will also participate.
