The new measures on the retirement of judges reflect the French scheme, but in contrast to France, Hungary has been exposed to much criticism in this regard.

The 7th Budapest Pride March, an event which boasts a long history, took place in Budapest in early July. The first organized LGBTI film festival (1993) was preceeded by a picnic in 1992. The significant traditions of the Pride Festival have gradually intertwined with film and other artistic programmes.

If you are American, you probably also miss the hell out of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. But I found a great ice cream place recently. There is a little hole-in-the-wall place called Fragola at Nagymezo u. 7 past the Radnoti Theater and next to a fruit and veg stand that has the best ice cream I have ever had in Budapest.
