According to a press statement, the event organised at the Whale Defense Center, which will feature a number of internationally renowned experts, will focus on Deep Tech, a special branch of innovation based on scientific and technical breakthroughs.
The aim of this international conference in Budapest is to strengthen the international visibility of the Hungarian and Central and Eastern European deep technology ecosystem and to contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the knowledge-based economy.
Organised by the National Innovation Agency and taking place as a highlight event of the Hungarian Innovation Week, the summit brings together for the first time the leading players in the Deep Tech world: international investors, researchers, technology transfer experts, startup founders and government decision-makers.
The conference's key topics include life sciences (biotech and medtech), space technology, and defense and (cyber)security - the segments on which technological and economic development in the coming years will most likely be based.
During the program, participants will be able to participate in lectures and roundtable discussions.
Guests include international opinion leaders and experts such as Greg Williams, Deputy Global Editor of Wired magazine; Cecilia des Courtis, CEO of Hello Tomorrow; Paul Wang, Director of Technology Transfer at the University of Hong Kong; Christian Szegedy, Co-Founder of xAI; Julian Laufs, Head of Innovation at German CyberAgentur; Linda Voeras, Investment Specialist at Estonian Karma Ventures, and Szabolcs Nagy, Founder and CEO of Turbine.
Connexions aims not only to build relationships and share knowledge, but also to create a professional space where the region's Deep Tech players can make their voices heard on the international stage and build new alliances for a more sustainable and innovative future.
The Connexions - CEE Deep Tech Summit is the most important event of Hungarian Innovation Week.
The series of events taking place from September 10 to 19 brings together innovation-focused events in Hungary.
By organizing the programs into a common framework, the initiative aims to strengthen Hungary's innovation ecosystem and increase its international visibility.
