Surpassing the psychological limit of HUF 300 billion (~EUR 963 million) for the first time, the net turnover reached HUF 319 billion (~ EUR 1024 million). Almost 72% of Hungarians buy Christmas presents on the internet and close to 43% use mobile devices to buy gifts, according to an international survey ordered by online payments system operator PayPal. The survey, conducted by market researcher GfK, covered more than 5,000 internet users over the age of 18 in five countries. Those buying presents online use several payment methods.
