The government has submitted an amendment to the law on informational self-determination and freedom of information to harmonise legislation with the EU’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), parliament’s website said. Under the amendment, SMEs violating the regulation would be warned, it said.

Magyar Idők reports that 325,000 Hungarians work in another EU country, a low number in regional comparison. The daily, citing Eurostat statistics, noted that 5.2% of the 20- 64 age group work in another EU country, making Hungary the 13th highest exporter of workers out of 28 EU member states.

Brain surgery was performed with the help of a robot for the first time in Hungary, and in Central and Eastern Europe for that matter, more than a month ago, Dr. Loránd Erőss, head of the Functional Neurosurgery Ward at the National Clinics Neurology Institute, said at a press conference on Tuesday.
