Join us on March 16th on Szabadság tér from 14:00 and participate in St Patrick’s Day parade. Since 2011 the event has been growing and attracting more and more followers. It is a great family day and last year, despite the cold weather, we had over 1400 people join the fun.

With new names added to the line-up there are more than twenty international stars playing at the 22nd VOLT Festival this summer. Due to a huge demand Hurts will return this year to Sopron, while thousands are eagerly waiting for the live shows of Nero and Modestep as well. Karnivool, the chart topping Milky Chance and The Strypes – opening for the Arctic Monkeys - are also part of the program.

The radical nationalist Jobbik party gained support in February while ruling party Fidesz’s backing eased a touch, according to the latest poll published by Medián. Fidesz still leads at 36% as against 23% support for Unity, 14% for Jobbik and 3% for LMP within Medián’s whole sample. Among decided voters, Fidesz leads 49 to 30% against Unity. Jobbik had 18% and LMP 3%.

The European Commission counts Hungary among member states that are experiencing macroeconomic imbalances, but not among those whose imbalances are considered excessive. “[…] Macroeconomic imbalances require monitoring and decisive policy action,” the commission said on Wednesday, releasing the results of in-depth reviews of the economies of 17 member states.
