The only classical ballet company of Hungary, the Hungarian National Ballet (resident at the Hungarian State Opera) is proud to announce its 2016/17 season. With over 120 performances throughout the season, fans of classical balett and contemporary dance performances are offered a wide selection in popular repertoire pieces and new productions at the Opera House and the Erkel Theatre.

The 14th Ferenc Liszt International Piano Competition opened with a concert in the Budapest Academy of Music on Friday evening. The event marks the 105th anniversary of the great composer’s birth and the 130th anniversary of his death.

This summer on the Margaret Island Open-air Stage the line up includes a 'super-spectacular Magic Show'. Organisers told XpatLoop that world famous illusionists will take to the stage accompanied by beautiful girls and a charming host, to enchant spectators with this tour de force of breathtaking stunts 'where the impossible is possible'.
