Consumer prices in Hungary grew by an annual 2.6 percent in August, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Friday. In a month-on-month comparison, prices edged up 0.1 percent from July. Twelve-month CPI picked up from 2.1 percent in July.

Standard and Poor’s Global Ratings on Friday said it revised the outlook on Hungary’s ‘BBB-/A-3’ long- and short-term foreign and local currency sovereign credit ratings to ‘positive’ from ‘stable’.
