The Budapest transport centre BKK is giving a Ft 100,000 award to a bus driver who helped catch a person who was scrawling graffiti in a bus on the 104A route. The estimated damage is Ft 50,000. The BKK wants to provide an incentive for drivers to fight vandalism to the extent allowed by law.

A total of 333 new titles from 98 publishers will be for sale at the 83rd Book Week which runs from Thursday through Monday on downtown Vörösmarty tér. The Budapest Court of Appeals has ruled in favour of Hungarian inventor Laszlo Oroszi against sportswear giant Adidas, ending a ten-year legal battle in a patent infringement case. The court ruled that Adidas unlawfully used Oroszi's patent without his authorisation in making football boots.
