An international social and educational trip dubbed Freedom Express, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the fall of Communism in Europe, is to arrive in Budapest on Wednesday. The award is given to personalities with undisputable international recognition, who have further improved Hungary’s reputation in the world, Bertalan Havasi said.

President János Áder hosted a gala dinner in honour of Ernő Rubik, who invented the famous magic cube 40 years ago. Rubik told MTI earlier that he had originally designed the cube for his students to help them improve their sense of space. Several hundred million Rubik’s Cubes have been sold all over the world since the first model appeared in 1975.
