The government is introducing a new sanction against illegal providers of taxi services, the development ministry said. As of March 11, parties found to be providing dispatcher services without a permit may be fined 300,000 forints (EUR 971), the ministry told MTI.

Taxi company Főtaxi said it would sign the joint statement issued by taxi professional associations and unions.
