On the opening day of the four-day Budapest meeting of the Regional Committee for Europe of the World Health Organization (WHO), Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that while the European demographic problem calls for an urgent response, the issue of population decline must be resolved through the reinforcement of family policy, rather than through migration.

Close to 200,000 Hungarians suffer from addiction to some kind of medicine, the toxicologist Gábor Zacher said on public television on Sunday. Some 70,000 Hungarians are addicted to sedatives, about 100,00 to laxatives and 25,000 to nasal drops, Zacher said on news channel M1.
Unhealthy Snacks & Beverages To Be Banned From School Buffets

In a letter sent to the directors of public schools, the Hungarian government listed the foods and beverages to be banned at school buffets and vending machines, the state secretary of the human resources ministry told the press on Thursday.
