The National Assembly has passed a law granting the government authority to regulate advertising in public spaces by government decree, reports mno.hu. The bill, proposed by Minister Overseeing the Office of the Prime Minister János Lázár, was submitted on Monday and adopted by parliament the following day.

Parliament approved a bill that reduces the payroll tax from 27% to 22% from next year, and to 20% from 2018. The bill adjusts the healthcare contributions accordingly, reducing them from 27% to 22% for 2017. Economy Minister Mihály Varga submitted the bill to parliament earlier in December.

Deutsche Lufthansa AG has made the Vereinigung Cockpit pilots’ union (VC) a new offer to resolve the present industrial dispute. The company is now offering a two-step 4.4% increase in remuneration plus a one-off payment. Remuneration would be increased by 2.4% for 2016 and by a further 2.0% for 2017.
