Budapest’s iconic Sziget Fest has revealed a major new round of performers for its 2026 edition, adding more than 40 acts across multiple genres and significantly strengthening what is already shaping up to be one of the summer’s most diverse festival programmes - as the video at the end shows.

Sziget, one of Europe’s largest and best-known music festivals, is once again under Hungarian ownership. The festival will continue with its current management and organising team, now joined by founder Károly Gerendai, who returns as strategic director to help shape the event’s next chapter.

Although we thought in 2016 that we could say goodbye to Roxette and the chance to hear their evergreen hits live, Per Gessle, the band's founder, has now picked up the torch and will return to the stage in 2025 with Swedish superstar Lena Philipsson on a tour called Roxette In Concert. The first stop on the European tour will be Budapest, on 4 November at the Budapest Arena.
