An organ concert to aid the reconstruction of Paris’ Notre Dame, which was heavily damaged in a fire on April 15, will be held in the Votive Church of Szeged on Friday, organisers told MTI.

The relics of Saint Thomas Becket (1118- 1170) held in the northern Hungarian town of Esztergom were presented in Canterbury Cathedral on Saturday, the site where he was murdered eight hundred years ago.

With the support of the Szeged-Csanad Diocese and the Gal Ferenc College, the St. Gellert Festival is going to be organized for the 5th time between 21-30 September. The main purpose of the concert series, bearing the name of one of the first bishops of Hungary, is to invite the music loving audience of the region, and to express a strong connection between religion, music and spirituality.
