From Gypsy Beats To ‘Spaghetti Balkan’: 120% World Music At Sziget Festival Budapest

The OTP Bank World Music Party Stage has celebrated the 20th Sziget with 120% of world music and the feedbacks were so positive that the organizers aim to crank up this year’s show! So not only the big names of the genre, but also the most important Central and Eastern European acts will be on stage, mainly representing the Balkan and ska-based craziness.

The colorful and diverse line-up of Sziget Festival 2013 is building up well, with 24 new acts freshly announced for various stages: many are new-comers to Sziget, but there will be many acts that have proven popular in previous editions of the event too. The non-stop week of party fun will be held this year between 5-12 August.

Minister of Human Resources Zoltán Balog declared in Jánoshalma that 20 000 children living in deep poverty will be supported through the recently launched Együtt egymásért ("Together for Each Other") programme. The program will be implemented using HUF 428 million in EU funding.
