The Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives invited young composers to enter the music competition based on the exhibition, Some Kind of Opposition… by Axel Braun. Summer Festivals Receive Nearly HUF 500m From State

Hungary’s summer festivals are receiving a total of nearly 500 million forints (EUR 1.6m) state support this year, an official of the Ministry of Human Resources said. State secretary Bence Rétvári told a press conference that the Sziget Festival in Budapest, the Volt Festival in Sopron in western Hungary and the Balaton Sound festival are getting a combined 150 million forints (EUR 476,000).
