Hungarian President Janos Ader formally announced on Thursday that European Parliamentary elections are to be held in Hungary on 25 May 2014. “The right to vote freely is one of the most important constitutional pillars of our democracy”, wrote Ader. “At the same time this right is an opportunity for us to influence with our votes Europe’s future”.
Jobbik Gains Support In Hungary

The radical nationalist Jobbik party gained support in February while ruling party Fidesz’s backing eased a touch, according to the latest poll published by Medián. Fidesz still leads at 36% as against 23% support for Unity, 14% for Jobbik and 3% for LMP within Medián’s whole sample. Among decided voters, Fidesz leads 49 to 30% against Unity. Jobbik had 18% and LMP 3%.

The winner of this year’s Brit Awards, also regarded as the band of the year by all relevant music forums, Arctic Monkeys will be performing at this year’s VOLT Festival! Not being in Europe during Sziget Festival the band agreed to please their fans in the region by playing a massive gig on 6 July (Sunday), right after the regular days of VOLT. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
