The fifth Liszt Fest International Cultural Festival will once again take centre stage in Budapest this autumn, bringing together leading figures from classical and contemporary music while also embracing cross-genre collaborations and a wide spectrum of the arts. Szombathely, in western Hungary, will once again turn back the clock this summer as it hosts the 24th Savaria Historical Carnival from 21 to 24 August. The four-day event will see the city’s streets filled with Roman legions, medieval merchants, baroque nobles, and a host of other historical figures from across the centuries.
