World-renowned singer-songwriter José González returns to Hungary to delight fans at the 35th Valley of Arts (Művészetek Völgye).
Born in Sweden to Argentine parents, González is celebrated as one of contemporary music's most captivating performers, famous for creating monumental concert experiences using nothing but his voice and a guitar.
From July 24 to August 2, 2026, the villages of Kapolcs, Taliándörögd, and Vigántpetend will transform into Hungary’s most vibrant cultural hub. For ten days, the valley will host the finest representatives of theatre, literature, new circus, fine arts, and music.
A Global Lineup
The festival continues to expand its international reach. Following last year’s high-energy show by Franz Ferdinand, the 2026 program features a diverse array of global talent:
* Classical & World Music: Expect the Cordame Duo (Canada), the Renaissance sounds of Cantoria (Spain), and a Dutch trio featuring Hadewych van Gent, Ana-Carmen Balestra, and Vitor Noah. The Varone Cello Duo (Finland) and Ukrainian pianist Alexey Botvinov will also grace the classical stages.
* Experimental & Performance Art: Don’t miss Prague’s Vivat Messi, Dimitri de Perrot’s Into The Dirt installation, or the whimsical clownery of Hugo Miro.
* Jazz & Contemporary: The British Embassy presents rising Welsh talent Martha Elen, while the Austrian Cultural Forum brings the cello-accordion duo Marie Spaemann & Christian Bakanic. Global vibes continue with British artist Ninin and flamenco performances from Luxuria (Spain) and Qairo (France).
35 Years of Tradition
While international stars shine, the heart of the festival remains its rich Hungarian heritage. To celebrate the 35th anniversary, special "once-in-a-lifetime" productions are scheduled, including the FolkKArcok gala and Völgy Szimfonik 35.
The beloved Klastrom venue also returns, featuring nightly light painting and intimate performances. Mainstage favorites like Kispál és a Borz, Quimby, Bohemian Betyars, and Dzsúdló are already confirmed to keep the Panoráma Stage dancing.
