ÁRON TÁLAS, the multi-award winning young Hungarian pianist is already making a real name for himself in his homeland, which, given the remarkable standard of jazz piano playing out there, says a great deal for his impressive talent.
An alumnus of the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, in 2013 he won both the „Junior Prima” prize and the National Jazz Combo competition with his trio. In 2015 he was a finalist in the highly prestigious Montreux Jazz Piano Competition.
Not surprisingly he has appeared with some of the finest European jazz musicians, performing worldwide in countries including Japan, Greece, Germany and Portugal.
He was a finalist in the Montreux Jazz Festival’s solo piano competition, was immensely successful at London’s famous 606 Club and has already produced two outstanding albums. Readers of the prestigious MagyarJazz online news have just voted Áron Young Jazz Artist of the Year.
The bass player is ISTVÁN TÓTH Jr., the excellent LÁSZLÓ CSÍZI will look after the drums.
The guest artist this time is the phenomenally gifted singer, DÁVID VARGA who impressed enormously us at one our regular talent-seeking shows. But we weren’t the only ones impressed because he sang with Bobby McFerrin and at Quincy Jones’ concert as well.
