'The Fragrance Of Moscow & Easter Egg Hunt', Memento Park
"In Hungary the tradition of sprinkling on Easter Monday was not forgotten in the communist times either. On Easter Monday boys sprinkle girls with fragrant perfume. However, good quality perfumes could not be bought during the times of the “shortage economy”, so the only choice was a cologne water called Krasznaja Moszkva (Red Moscow) imported from the Soviet Union, which had an astonishing flow of fragrance.

So far the Budapest Memento Park has introduced the era of “existing socialism” with a Statue Park, photo exhibition, film screening, Trabants and other sights. In addition to these, in the first week of April – because of Easter – the atmosphere of the era will also be evoked by its fragrances: the tickets will have the fragrance of Krasznaja Moszkva.

Guests arriving on Easter Monday can also take part in an egg hunt over the whole park area. Visitors can also paint the eggs themselves based on the samples with the symbols of communist propaganda, and the most talented visitors can win special prices characteristic of the era.
