Heineken Balaton Sound: lakeside holiday by day, awesome parties by night in the most popular holiday region in Hungary, Lake Balaton. Many refer to the event as a “top festival”, going in a completely new and unusual direction from all other festivals in Hungary. As Károly Gerendai, CEO of Sziget Productions said: The reason for this is that beside the market over-saturated by traditional festivals, there is a growing demand for festivals of a higher standard, a “higher level of comfort.”

The new BALATON SOUND got off to a good start by a choosing picturesque location, boasting a beautiful beach and panoramic views of Tihany. The programme also differs from other festivals in as much as most of the line-up, more than two thirds of the acts are international performers, including many stars in a variety of genres. Heineken BALATON SOUND puts great emphasis on hospitality and services as well.

The festival grounds host several cocktail bars and chic restaurants, and instead of beer benches, the festival-goers can enjoy the festival atmosphere while lounging in comfortable sofas and deck chairs. For those bringing their own tents the festival provides an allocated camping ground, but organisers have thought of those staying in nearby hotels as well; they can reserve accommodation directly through the festival’s website.
